Post your latest oil change

My 2018 Nissan Rogue, 49,300 miles on it, about 2,500 miles on the OCI, it is under the Nissan CPO extended warranty so I have to follow their 6 month/5,000 mile OCI.

Out: Supertech 0W20 and Supertech ST6607 filter
IN: Fram (Amalie) 0W20 and Fram PH6607 filter

Mrs. Jimmy's 2014 Rogue, about 71,000 miles on the car, not even 1,000 miles on the oil but it had been about 15 months since the last oil change so I changed it for peace of mind:

Out: STP 0W20 and STP S6607 filter
In: Fram (Amalie) 0W20 and Fram PH6607 filter

Both cars are running smooth as glass with the Amalie oil. I gave both cars a good wash with Meguiar's Gold Class and a quick interior detail too. It was a nice day here today.

Honda 3.5 V6s have the filter tucked away in a hard to reach place, even when the vehicles on a lift. Taking the tire off makes it easier to remove and install. Just like 97-08 3800 equipped Pontiac Grand Prixs for example.
I use a gallon zip lock bag or oil udder for our 2019. Easy peasy on ramps.

Speaking of that, changed Odysseys oil Saturday.
Out: Valvoline EP/Kendall GT-1 max with a fram ultra that had 2 OCIs on it with 10k.
In: Valvoline EP/Kendall GT-1 Max with a fram ultra

Hot or cold it makes very little measurable difference on the dipstick reading. To note the Sonata 2.4 has orange dipstick while the Kia 2.4 has yellow one. And they both take about an extra qt over book to bring to full mark after a extended drain. (5.9 qts sonata 5.4 qts kia.) The sonata has 4.8 qts written under hood while the Kia has 4.5 qts.
Mine never did. Always 5qts to full line.

Nice work. What engines do you have in your Nissan Rogue ?

I have the similar Nissan X-Trail with the QR25DE 2.5L 4-cylinder gas (petrol) engine. Mine is a 2013 T31 model, with CVT & 4WD.

Needs a top-off.

$3.58

No 5W-30 available, just this, 5W-20 and 10W-40..

2012 Honda Fit, 137k, 10k on oil.
Out- 5-30 M1 Truck SUV, super tech 20k filter.
IN- 3 qts 0-20 magnatec + 3/4 qt 0-16 castrol edge, new st6607 20k filter.

Hoping mileage improves. I was getting 40-42 running 0w-20. With the 5w-30 it was down to 34-36.

2022 Hyundai IONIC Hybrid
All the very short, new vehicle OCI out the way. Now I begin 4k mi ones.
I set the interval to 5k mi on the cluster and it (like all Hyundai products) starts chiming 1k mi prior to reaching your goal during vehicle startup with a mileage countdown thrown in.

Out: EDGE EP 0W-20 / OEM
IN: Havoline LL / STP S2808

How many break in oil changes did you do by chance?

Mine: '18 Mustang GT PP1
Out: NAPA synthetic 0w-20, FL500S
In: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w-20, FL500S

OLM was at 15% likely due to time, a ~4500mi OCI between 4/7/2021 and 2/12/2022
There are 63k mi on the vehicle

Maybe could have run it down to 0%, but it was a nice and warm Saturday in Feb.
A sample was taken for the Pennzoil UOA program

Hi Joel,

5 in 4K miles
I'm curious how you come up with that amount? I'm not picking on you, I've just seen you post in this thread a few times in short order so I thought I'd ask.

I myself like 1 early change at 1k miles then just do them every 5k, but I have no science to that. It just feels good to do 1 early change for me.

No rhyme nor reason. Nor do I do so with every vehicle. I really just enjoy changing oil I guess. I give most of the used lube to our community common grounds landscaper and our home landscaper.

2018 VW Golf Sportwagen 73,193 miles/3,727 OCI. No consumption. Just street driving this OCI but that involves lots of flogging/high RPMs.

Out: 5 qt of Liquimoly Molygen "Predator Blood" 5W40 + 1 qt High Performance Lubricants Engine Cleaner, Mann filter, Corteco drain plug. Sample to BS as usual.

In: 6 qt of High Performance Lubricants 5W40 Euro "secret sauce", Mann filter, Corteco drain plug. VOA sample to BS as usual for any new oil I use.

Did a short OCI this go-around as I'm going to a HPDE at Summit Point, WV in a few weeks. Excited to see how the HPL product performs in the Hoon Wagon!
