In: 6 qts of Castrol 0W40 and Fram XG7317 filter.

I added 1 qt of M1 0W40 at the 2700 mi mark of the previous oil change. Calculated about 1 qt consumption per 2100 miles. 6 qts in + 1 qt added - 4.75 qts out = 2.25 qts consumed in 4700 mi. 4700/2.25 = 1 qt consumed per 2089 mi.

The M1 was sent in for analysis. The VK45DE engine is known for oil consumption and I've read up to 1 qt per 1200 miles is normal:

Camry got Castrol Magnatec 0w-20 and a Toyota OEM filter, has about 116k on the clock. Also got new lower control arms and ball joints.

Dodge Journey got a Super tech filter and Quaker State 5w-30, about 20k.
