Post your latest oil change

My youngest daughter is home from college, so time to change the Sentra‘s oil.

Out: 4.0 liters Castrol Edge 0W-20 and a Fram orange can 6607
In: 4.0 liters Castrol Edge 0W-20 and a Fram Tough Guard 6607

I had to order Castrol CVT fluid for it today (no one has any in stock???), so I’ll be doing a drain and fill on the CVT next week. The only thing I can find is the Castrol ATF/CVT universal fluid. I’m just not brave enough to trust that yet :)

2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor 3.8L AWD, 167,916 miles.

Filter: Left on for 2nd OCI (is a TG7317, 15K mile rating).

In:

My other daughters 2018 Kia Sportage 2.4L 5,000 mile OCI. Just over 78,000 total miles.

The good news is that over this 5k OCI she only burned a total of 1 quart. She was .5 quarts low today and I put in .5 quarts at about 2,500 miles. That’s a lot less than she burned with other brands! I’m sticking with the Super Tech High Mileage in this one!

Out: 5 quarts Super Tech Syn High Mileage 10W-30 and an OEM filter

At what mileage did her Kia start consuming oil?? Good for you Dad for taking care of the Daughters/Family. Little things... ;)

We bought it CPO for her a couple years ago. It bured oil from the first OCI. I’ve done all the PVC stuff, and that helped a little. I’ve tried all different brands oil, some regular, some high mileage. It seems to like the ST best so far. He manual says that 10W-30 is OK down to 0F, so that’s what I’ve been running in it. It’s a great little car for her and the 1 quart every OCI I can live with.

2021 Camaro SS (6.2L V8)
Out - M1 0W40 ESP & PF64
In- 10qts of M1 5W30 & PF64
1,500 miles on the oil (OLM was like 25%)

A bit premature, but this is primarily to get it ready for it's winter slumber... I drive it in winter when roads are dry and conditions allow, so at most it usually sits is a few weeks at a time.

My Duramax OLM rolls over at 1 year no matter how many miles. If I have 2000 miles or less I just reset the OLM and wait for a sunny day in 6 to 8 months!

I'll change the wipers out with some Costco Michelins and I always dump a bottle of fuel system cleaner in at oil changes. No tire rotation as they will need to get replaced in the next year anyway. Son is handling the change this time.

Collected UOA sample for Blackstone - we got this vehicle for my son from my parents with 126K on the clock about a year and half ago and changed the oil shortly after gettng it for a blown oil cooler line repair then again after about 3K miles with the current fill in March this year. It's a Toyota so I don't think it will show any drama but why not.
