2005 Mazda 6, 2.3 liter, manual transmission.
Mobil 1 0w40 FS
Bosch distance plus I got on closeout.

Did the valvecover gasket at the same time. You can see the oil in the spark plug wells.
250,000 mile engine that gets 7k oci’s. Mobil 1 5w30 or 0w40 for the last two years.

Got it at a good price through work. Its an older SM spec oil, but considering that spec is 2004 being the same year as the engine, it's still more than good enough.

I used my MityVac and sucked out the old synthetic oil which I cannot remember the brand. I filled it with ST 0W20. The OLM was at 40 percent and I didn't monitor the miles. I kept the same oil filter on the vehicle which is a 2012 Honda Civic with 111,600 miles. I will change the filter and oil again after about 4000 miles.

left the Ultra 7317 on, OCI was only 3000mi, only changed the oil because winter is coming and the car market took a turn for the much worse and my mom is holding onto it for a while longer.
God, 20w50🙄🤔

I thought I was bit crazy putting SL Mobil 1 HM in my Camry that way below winter few years back. I’m kidding; it will be good

Yeah, I wouldn't run it during the winter it was only in there from June to now, my mom had intended to ditch this car, but since then she changed jobs and the car market got nuts, so this will have to last a little longer, I stopped keeping track whether the 20W-50 really helped with consumption, it may have slowed it to about a quart every 1000-1100miles but it's still drinking it somewhere and seeping out the valve covers and possibly other seals. I guess I'll see if that magical AN in the Mobil1 HM will do any better than the SOPUS, Supertech, or Castrol high mileage oils that have been used previously.

A "long" trip for this vehicle is 15 miles. 98% of the time it is my 2.6 mile commute to work.
Some vanilla milkshake on the inside of the oil fill cap. I know that I should take it on longer trips more often...but...who has time? Always seems to be more important things to do.

Changed Peele's oil today. It looked about half a quart over and reeked of fuel which I expected since I short trip this car every single day. Even my coworker commented on it when I was draining it. I need to find more reasons to take it out for longer trips cuz I'd rather not have to drain some oil out in between my already short intervals.
