Mini Cooper R56 LCI 2012 6-speed manual ~50.000 km
Changed engine oil yesterday on the Cooper. Ravenol REP 5w30 BMW LL-04 approval, oil filter Purflux L358A, which is the OE replacement.
Contrarily to BMW claiming this N16 'prince' engine would take 4,2 l incl. filter it actually is at max with just 4,0 liters. Beware not to overfill on a N12 or N16 Mini or corresponding Peugeot/Citroen.

OUT: 500mi on assumed VW/Mobil 1 5w40 & OE filter. Did engine flush due to pesky oil pressure issue. Blackstone analysis was fine. Turned out to be faulty pressure switch.

2012 Honda Civic 105,000 miles Castrol Magnetec 0W-20 Full Synthetic oil. No filter since I just put on a new one 5,000 miles ago or so. I did a Mity Vac pump and dump. Very easy with the Mity Vac and very clean oil change without any spilling. I do frequent oil changes on the Civic because I want to keep it for the long haul.
