The main thing initiating the change was that the oil went black a little earlier than expected and I didn't know how much I was going to get out of the sump using my oil extractor. This was the first time for me to try it and I wish I had bought it sooner. I really despise the song and dance to get under the car and pull off the skidplate. Either way I don't plan on changing the oil filter each interval (that is more mileage based), so I think its ok serving how it is. I am a little surprised at how much it left in the sump, though; I would guess about 1/2 a quart is in the filter and galleries, but that means that 1 quart is dodged by the extractor tube. I'll be back 3 more times though to do 60-hour fractional suck-n-fills and one last 60-hour change interval before I drain-n-fill and replace the oil filter. This feels wrong...
