This is a 5800 mile, say almost 6000 miles on a FF that was wanting out at 3500 per MMS system only. (and I suppose some math) But with that much moly, the Viscosity Index was high and someone did a UOA on it and TBN was good up to 5800 miles so I nailed it? (I know cause the TBN was still in the 3.x range for a 4800 mile UOA and OCI)
The Maintenance Minder wanted an oil change 3,500 miles? That's the lowest I've heard for any Honda. Lots of short-tripping?
Did you have a UOA done or is this from a different car? Generally, gong further than the oil life monitor suggests is a bad idea, especially if the reason is because someone who may have had different driving conditions had a UOA that suggested longer was OK. Plus it's a great way to screw up your warranty.
Oh about that, a UOA was done on a 4800 indicating TBN as well as wear would have normalized at 6800 miles, just 1000 more but I went exactly that amount and TBN was at 3.x so it could have gone up to 5800 miles.
