Out 5 qts PP 5w-30 and fram ocd with 8k

Out: Synpower 5W30
In: Synpower 5W-30
Kept the Bosch D+ for a second ~5K run.
It was a dry day in the upper thirties, and I'd be reluctant to run Synpower much past 6K in this car based upon a Synpower UOA I had done from a previous ~5K run.
Since the weather was okay and the oil was ~5K, I did the change.
No telling what the weather will be like over the next month or so.

Out - sludgey stuff, Service Champ filter. Only 1.5 qt drained out!
In - Mobil Super 5w-20, Fram High-Mileage oil filter (this was all that WM had left at 8pm).

I am not sure how much went in previously. The sump size is only 3.3 qt and I would guesstimate that between 1.5-2 qt drained out. The previous oil changer wrote down the date of the service on the oil filter, and the date was March 2011. This engine is a burner/leaker, and I somehow doubt that it would've survived this long if that date was correct. Engine ran fine before and after. Perhaps a low-life technician has been changing the oil but not the filter?
