2024 ford edge 2.0 Ecoboost

out: 4563 miles 139 hours on mobil 1 5w30 extended with Fram titanium

In: mobil 1 extended 5w30 with the new South Korean mobil 1 filter. (not happy it's not usa anymore and it doesn't fit the ratchet mounted removal tool anymore. I have to find one that fits the new filter. I tightened it the best I could by hand. hope it stays put and does not leak)

What was you fill to full on the stick 5.5qts or more like 5.8qts I just did one weekend a go and was more like 5.8.

Great choice - however I assume the Fram Titanium is also discontinued as is the Endurance ?
Doubt it ... the Titanium (the AAP version of the Ultra) is the brother to the Fram Ultra which isn't going away. Only the Endurance may be going away.

Not sure. However, I do not think the newer titianiums (if they are still being produced) are coming with the wire backed, pink media, with holes (not louvers) like these ones I got from the clearance. It is the same as an OG ultra. Date code btw is June 2023 so they must’ve been some slightly older stock.

Out: Castrol Edge HM 5w-30, Toyota 90915-YZZD3 filter
In: 5 QTs Shell Rotella Gas truck 5w-30, 2 QTs Quaker State Full Synthetic 5w-30, Toyota 90915-YZZD3 filter

I was happy with the performance of the castrol. Will use it again in the future. I got the Rotella GT from Walmart site straight from Walmart (no third-party) it was the last one in stock. It was unopened and made sure to check it wasn’t used. So far so good.

Some older Ultras and Titaniums might still have the wire backed pink media. But may newer Titaniums have been cut open to find they too have changed to non-wire backed media like the Ultras. June 2023 was a while ago, so not surprised it was still the wire backed version with holes in the center tube.

Carbureted 1985 Ford GT Mustang with 5 liter roller cam Windsor, 250,000 mile original owner. Retired to pleasure use with 1,452 miles on last oil change in 2021. Motor has never been apart and never gone over 3K on an oil change. Out at 1/2 quart down of 10W-30 conventual Valvoline. Recent axle upgrade from original 2.73 ratio 7-1/2" ring gear to 8.8" axle with 3.73 ratio improved drivability significantly. Refresh the sump with 10W-30 high mileage Valvoline plus a spike of STP oil treatment. Anticipated hot idle oil pressure improved to 50 PSI at 700 RPM . Happy boy, happy boy.
