Post your latest oil change

2008 Toyota Corolla Out: Valvoline Conventional 5w30 With Valvoline V0-40 Filter In: Napa Syn Blend 5w30 With Mighty M4477 Filter
Could you share the miles on the odometer, and also your oil change interval, and is it the CE or LE model?

2013 Suburban 5.3L, 160,000 miles.
5,000 miles and 7 months on oil and filter. OLM at 24%. No oil consumed or added.
Out: Mobil 1 0w-40 FS (SP), Amsoil EaO17.
In: Mobil 1 ESP 0w-30, Carquest Premium 84502 (Vietnam).
Nice car. I always wanted to own a Suburban. My family and I took a luxury ride to the airport in a luxury taxi which was a 2020 Suburban a few months ago. Was super soft and cushy. Really nice vehicle.

2025 Chevy 2500 HD
6.6l gas engine great Allison transmission transmission.

Not my personal truck just a fleet truck I picked up brand new for a project on the North Slope of Alaska.

I run this truck everyday. Plug it in when I sleep and remote start it when I wake up for my comfort.

Temperatures have ranges from -35 to 5 above zero averaginin the -20 range.

Well over 600 hours in this new truck I picked up at dead horses airport on January 24th.
Change oil reminder from the Oil life monitor kicked on in less than 30 days of operation.
Less than 1900 miles on vehicle for first oil change.
I would consider this severe service with real cold starts, idling like a patrol car and continuous use of 4wheel drive.
It’s my second office. Besides idling and putting at low speeds down an ice road to worksites it gets about 35 miles round trip to camp and back daily at 30 mph. With slowdowns for equipment and wildlife it is 38 minutes each way.

Out was factory dexos 0w20 I assume.

In Delo 400 XSP 5w40…it’s what we have
as we run heavy equipment. All fleet oil in real life severe application.

Oiler is doing the oil change in the light duty tent at this moment.

Great write up and pictures. It will be interesting to see how the truck does in those severe conditions.

2008 Crown Vic: 3,003 miles and 8 idle hours on this OCI. Also swapped out the air filter which had 11,064 miles on it and rotated the tires too. It was a nice sunny day and almost hit 40 degrees outside. My 13 year old son was a great helper.

Out: Havoline and Fram TG2.
In: Havoline and a Baldwin B329. I don’t think I’ve ever run a Baldwin filter before, it was a couple dollars to add to a prior RockAuto order as it shipped from the same warehouse. Any thoughts on Baldwin?

Miles on your Vic?

2014 Buick Verano (2.4 ecotec)
61,803 miles
Out: ^ (OLM @ 52%)
In: M1 EP 5w30, Fram XG9018
OCI: 3,046 miles, 3/24/23 to 10/6/23
I drained and refilled the trans again with synthetic Dex VI. The transmission fluid looked (and smelled) better this time than it did last time but it’s still pretty dirty looking (see paper towel). The third picture with the Maxlife jug is what the fluid looked like the first time I drained it. View attachment 182608View attachment 182609. View attachment 182610
2014 Buick Verano (2.4 Ecotec)
68,113 miles
Out: ^ (OLM @ 0%)
In: VRP 5w30, Fram CH9018
OCI: 6,310 miles, 10/6/2023 to 2/22/2025
I did another drain and fill (4.5 quarts) on the transmission with synthetic Dexron VI. This is the third D&F on this car, spread out over the last three oil changes. The fluid that I drained this time looked really good, maybe just slightly darker than new fluid but had a nice deep red color to it. I think the transmission fluid should be in pretty good shape for a while.

Curious minds would like to know how long have you been using Kirkland oil? How many miles on your CX5?
It's a 2021 (fat fingered the 2012) that we bought new in June of 2021. Wife drives a lot for work. 95K on it now. On the Kirkland except for one run of Valvoline Advanced since 14K. No issues other than a valve cover gasket that has just started to weep a little. I'll be changing that out at some point when winter breaks here in the northeast. Other than that, no issues with the vehicle what so ever.

I've run that Kirkland in all of my Honda's to 5k intervals without any issue, including my Civic Type-R. Occasionally I do let her Mazda go to the OLM at 7500 on it when she is doing mostly highway miles. I change the oil every 3-ish months on that vehicle.

2019 Toyota Sienna SE Premium &
2019 Toyota Yaris iA which I change the oil every 6 months which ends up being twice a year starting in February and again in August regardless of miles but I average about 3200 miles each vehicle. They both use 0w-20.

I use Havoline Pro-DS in them but recently started using Valvoline Advanced in my van. I use the BG EPR once every other year and MOA every oil change. Using a camera thru the oil spout I look into the engines to see they look new. The Sienna has a tad bit over 61k and the Yaris a tad bit over 51k. I use the BG 44k once a year and have been using it in ally vehicles since 2002 and never had and fuel related issues. I use the Champion & Fram Ultra Synthetic elements in my van and the Yaris I use the Car&Driver and Valvoline oil filter I got a few years back from a seller on FB marketplace for cheap at just $1 a filter of which I bought 24. LOL with the crazy stuff going on back then I stocked up on oil and filters for life. Prices sure have gone up since 2019.
