2025 Chevy 2500 HD
6.6l gas engine great Allison transmission transmission.

Not my personal truck just a fleet truck I picked up brand new for a project on the North Slope of Alaska.

I run this truck everyday. Plug it in when I sleep and remote start it when I wake up for my comfort.

Temperatures have ranges from -35 to 5 above zero averaginin the -20 range.

Well over 600 hours in this new truck I picked up at dead horses airport on January 24th.
Change oil reminder from the Oil life monitor kicked on in less than 30 days of operation.
Less than 1900 miles on vehicle for first oil change.
I would consider this severe service with real cold starts, idling like a patrol car and continuous use of 4wheel drive.
It’s my second office. Besides idling and putting at low speeds down an ice road to worksites it gets about 35 miles round trip to camp and back daily at 30 mph. With slowdowns for equipment and wildlife it is 38 minutes each way.

Out was factory dexos 0w20 I assume.

In Delo 400 XSP 5w40…it’s what we have
as we run heavy equipment. All fleet oil in real life severe application.

Oiler is doing the oil change in the light duty tent at this moment.

2023 Silverado 4x4 2.7 light duty electrical service truck. 43.783 miles 7273 on oil. Total engine hours 1666.3 . 4% oil life left

Out AC Delco (Mobil bottled) 5w30 full syn 1.5 +/- makeup oil AC PF66 filter

In Mobil T&SUV 5w30 AC PF66

Plenty of T&S for next few changes and top offs will see if any difference in consumption with the T&S vs the Delco

Why the switch?
One of my other vehicles (2019 Hyundai Kona Nu) needs the VRP more long term since I will be swapping the motor in a couple of weeks myself with an ultra low kilometer motor (not getting into the legal about Hyundai, but action is in place) and I feel that the VRP did its job based on the oil that came out. PUP serves my needs for this vehicle. I may switch to 10W30 for the summer or even Shell Helix that was provided me. To clarify, I had no issues with oil burning or tick, and the same was true during and after use of VRP in the LCV.
