Post Your Latest (Motorcycle) Oil Change!

I'm about a month late posting this.

ODO reads ~9200 at change. Currently at ~10k.
Out: 1/2 quart Maxima Extra4 Maxum4 10w60, 1 quart Valvoline Synthetic Motorcycle Oil 20w50, balance Valvoline Synthetic Motorcycle Oil 10w40
In: ~3.75 quarts Valvoline VR-1 20W50
Off: Fram TG 3.25", automotive; cant remember the model code. This filter went through 2 OCIs (in service since late spring '18)
On: Fram TG 2.5" automotive

Old oil went just under a year. I lost track of what my odometer read since then.
Have not experienced any clutch slippage in since being on the oil for 800mi.

1985 Yamaha Vmax.
135,020 miles, 2000 since last change.
Rotella 15w40, Volar filter.
4 qts in, 4 qts out. Never used any oil..
No discernible metal particles on drain plug magnet.

2009 Harley Superglide FXDC w/43,700 miles on the clock
Out: Redline 20w50
In: Valvoline Vr1 20w50 conventional
4,000 miles on this oil with no makeup oil added. No "fuzz" on the magnet.

2019 Can-Am Spyder F3-S SE6
3145 miles

Out:
OEM 5w40 semi syn oil

In:
(1.5) quarts Castrol Actevo 10w40 partial synthetic
(2) quarts M1 4T 10w40
(2) quarts Quicksilver 10w40 full syn m/c oil
HiFlo oil filter

Frankenbrew of what I had on hand.

ODO reads 11045 at change.
Miles on Oil: 1845
Out: ~3.2 quarts Valvoline VR-1 20W50
In: 3qt Delvac 1300 15W-40 + 1.5oz Lubegard Bio-tech + 1.5 oz TB Zinc Plus
Off: None; round 2 for Fram TG 2.5"

Old oil went just under half a year. I had a hard time seeing if the oil was transparent or not on the sight glass, but when poured out, It came out clear.
I would put it right back in, but my oil pan always has dirt in it, so I just let it go. If I ever use VR-1 again, I'll go 3000 miles on it.

Also worth noting for my future self that the oil level in the sight glass is at halfway now.
The 3.75 quarts of VR-1 was at the top of the glass, so D&F @ 3qts for the bike is a winner.
About half a quart is retained amongst the oiling system and filter.

4400 miles on oil (in for 2 years, ~2200 commuting miles per riding season)
Out: Honda GN4 conventional 10W-30, M1-110a filter. Oil was clean and looked like it could go back in the bottle.
In: 1/2 qt Castrol ActEvo 10W-40 (leftover from above), 3 1/2 qts Castrol ActEvo 10W-30, Bosch 3323 filter.

I use the same automotive oil filter on both bikes as I do my Honda CR-V. It makes it easy to stock up using sales & rebates.

5W-20? ... that should be interesting.

'13 Genuine Buddy 125 scootmagoot...6916 miles on odometer; oil change done 03/24/2020

out...whatever last year's 10w-40 & 15w-40 frankenbrew was & HiFlo Filtro HF183 filter; rear diff had Klotz 75w-140 synthetic v-twin tranny fluid (hypoid applicable, GL-5 rated); do not recall the amount of mileage for the interval...guessing 1900-2200 miles; diff fluid was frothy & lighter colored than new fluid...guessing slighty overfilled & containing moisture (didn't get rear diff fluid up to temp)

in...Amsoil 15w-40 diesel oil (ck-4 rated; probably grp iii & iv synthetic base oil blend) & HiFlo Filtro HF183 filter; rear diff got same Klotz tranny lube; this weekend replacing air filter & fixing light vacuum line leak at petcock

Hope this is a typo ...

I have an old 125cc scooter, specs 5W-40. Engine was fine but so much cracked body panels it wasn't worth saving. So I tried 0W-20 oil in it. After 300 miles approx it started knocking and the top speed went from 65mph to 50mph. Engine shot.

It is a typo it should be 20w-50. Although when I first joined BITOG there was a member who used Mobil 1 in a old Beemer. Said it didn't mind it.
