2018 Kawasaki Z650 ABS at 3100 miles (almost 5000 kms) Previous fill: Motul 4T 5100 10w40 with OEM Kawasaki filter OCI duration: 1500 miles (2500 kms) Current fill: Shell Rotella T4 15w40 with OEM Kawasaki filter I also checked coolant level, brake pads and cleaned/lubed the chain. This is the first time I am using HDEO in a motorcycle. Maybe it is a placebo effect? but I immediately felt that clutch engages slightly sooner and sharper than it used to be.

Castrol Actevo 4T 10W-40 with a HiFlo filter. I have about 200 miles on this oil and really like it so far. When synthetic blend oils first came out I thought they were kind of a joke, but I've come to appreciate them.

I've tried HDEO , both 10-30 and 15-40, in three different brands and noticed that change with all of them. It's the reason I don't use them, hard to get that seamless shift with the clutch being a little too grabby.

A week ago changed oil on a 2008 Yamaha RSV that my parents just purchased. Drained whatever oil was in it and removed a Hiflo filtro filter Installed a fram mc filter and roughly 4 quarts of Amalie 20w50 mc oil Changed oil on my Kawasaki 800 Vulcan classic on Sunday. Took off a white supertech filter and drained Rotella 15w40. New 15w40 rotella put in about 3 quarts with a quakerstate oil filter

Last Sunday after a 250-mile ride pushed me over the 5,000 mile mark on the oil change, changed out the M1 20w50 Vtwin from my ZRX 1200 and sent in a sample. Replaced it with M1 10w40 4T racing. Ran this oil previous to the 20W50 Vtwin, and got a good result from analysis. Looking forward to the analysis and will post in the motorcycle section when I get it back on the M1 20w50 Vtwin. Shift quality remained high with either oil at 5,000 miles. If the oil stays in grade and TBN comes back decent on the 20w50 Vtwin like it did on the 10w40 4T last year, either of those oils is my choice moving forward for extending out to 6,000 miles or more. Leaning toward the 10w40 4T only because I do feel the engine ran a bit cooler overall in the hot summer temperatures at high elevation compared to the 20w50.
