Was planning to go 5,000 miles, but will be on a ~1,200 mile trip in 2 weeks, and not much planned mileage between now and then, so figured I would do it now.

Old oil did not look very bad. Dark, but not black at all.

At first I thought you had an Enduro or trail bike for street use. I looked it up and think it's a nice looking cycle.
I really like the one in blue. ;)
I don't have it anymore. But if gas keeps going up, i might think about another. Had a 3.5 gallon tank, that and 70mpg it went a ways on a fill up.

I have thought about a ninja 300 or 400.

I bought an new Harley oil filter for my bike 2 weeks ago. 1 week ago a guy turned left in front of me and wrecked the bike. So now what do I do with the new oil filter?.,,
Buy another HD that accepts this under $8 item, throw or give away.... glad your ok from accident.

Automobile drivers are not looking out for bikes, period! It's more convenient to say in Police Accident Report ole standby statement "I didn't see them." BS. Today's drivers are more concerned/distracted with cell phones, eating food, disciplining kids, make-up etc.... I about had my butt handed me last week in a 55mph rear end incident. Haven't rode since. I'm doing my part to stay alive as a responsible rider, but cages are not.
