Post your Gas Mileage : Calculated

2010 Jeep (2 door) (3.8 V6) (6 speed manual) currently getting 8.2 MPG but thats due to a lot of driving in horrible commuter traffic and towing a small utility trailer. She will get just under 14 MPG on the highway under ideal conditions. Generally averages 10-11 MPG normally under a mix of city and highway with nothing in it and not towing anything.

08 GMC Envoy (5.3 LS V8) currently getting 10.8 MPG mostly highway driving. She will get 12.5 MPG under ideal conditions with a very light foot something I certainly don’t do very often. It’s shockingly bad considering it still has a fully functional DOD system and the same engine in a full size SUV or 1/2 ton pickup gets better mileage. There is nothing wrong with the engine, fuel trims are spot on, O2 sensors are spot on, and the engine is in excellent condition with 96-98 percent leak down across all cylinders, and zero oil consumption over a 3,000 mile oil change interval. Ignition timing and valve timing is correct. The car is also in excellent condition and the front axle disconnect is working properly. I can’t explain why it doesn’t get the same or better mileage then a Suburban/Yukon or 1500 with the same engine?
Do you get christmas cards from the Saudi royal family?
