Meh mileage lately. Needed to save money and let insurance track me. Switched as soon as I found another policy sans tracking which was priced about the same.

I hated that, but it did force me into some good fuel economy, relatively speaking. Not that this car responds well to any of my mild hypermiling techniques. It just kind of resolutely is what it is.

25.0 average over the year and change I’ve owned my Subie Legacy GT. Letting the turbo rip more often hasn’t softened my MPG that badly. Last tank was 23.0, for instance. For a 20 year old car which can manage mid-5s 0-60 and a 14 flat in the 1/4 mile, master snow/ice, and hold its own on national forest roads, all in stock form, I can’t be *that* mad.

It’s still filled with suckage since I need high-test fuel, though.

I don't understand why the Maverick isn't more popular than it is. Over 40MPG while being able to slap the refrigerator, a couch, or washer/dryer in the bed? Can't beat that. Only wish it was still $19,995 starting price as it was originally advertised... nearly $30k now for base model...

Ford builds them as fast as they can. Ultimately why I didn't get one is...

A. And I mean no offense by this, it was cheap feeling at the original price, it's an insult at it's current msrp. But I did look and was considering one at one point.
B. Not enough towing capacity. My boat would be near max tow and that's not including gear and passengers. Getting the 4k rating also makes it more money. I paid less for my colorado than a low optioned maverick with the tow package currently.

Granted those things are the reason it's appealing... but I couldn't make it work for what i needed. Fantastic product though. See them in fleet service all over.
