Filled up the Maverick hybrid at Phillips 66. 87 octane TT E10 - It's amazing what removing Interstate driving at 65+mph does for my truck. I had some on this tank but probably under 50 miles. 8 - 10 trips to the lady friend's house have been in 10°F on the backroads.

just returned from a 1709 road trip from Missoula to Moab and back. did 3 decently long trails and logged just total miles and total consumed start to finish...while coming and going I averaged about 70-75mph while actually on the highway. total miles 1709 miles total gallons consumed 112.951 gallons.

Three more rides coming up this week. Lost the receipt but the purchase was $10.30 @ $3.309 = 3.112 gallons

looking at an abysmal 20.5 in a compact CUV this Winter. 2025 Jeep Compass 2.0T with 8 speed auto. The emissions seem to trump FE on newer cars. Even though is considered compact CUV weight is approaching two tons with me onboard!
This is short tripping (7-10 miles) in very cold weather most days below freezing for a high, and most starting out under 15F. Will see what happens in the spring and later with the lower RVP summer gas distillation. If no improvement may change oil to a different 5W30 for one OC as an experiment. The engine does run well on the Valvoline Restore and Protect though.
