360 miles / 17 gallons = 21 mpg on 87 octane in the Northstar V8, 250 of which was highway cruising. I need to do a pure highway calc as the last 110 miles likely brought it down a fair amount. I know when I’m in normal stop and go around town it’s more like 14 mpg

When I was a kid I asked my Dad "why do we like Volkswagons". He said we get 30 mpg and the neighbors get 20 mpg. This was around 1965 when we had a VW Beetle. Also Imperial gallons in Canada.

Drove about 75 miles yesterday. Much warmer and I watched my MPG for this tank with about a hundred miles, increase about 3 mpg running around Kansas City. Enjoying the results.

Warmish weather for this tank and only around 20% 70+ interstate.
Filled up at such a low number of miles to take advantage of an .18/gallon reward expiring today.
A penny saved and all that.

Malibu: Took the Malibu on a trip to Vero Beach and it returned 39mpg round trip.
Palisade: A week later we went camping at Disney's Fort Wilderness with the Cub Scouts and averaged 29mpg round trip.
