Post your Gas Mileage : Calculated

Calculated 95mpg my last tank on the PCX. Just over 100 miles of driving. A rare case where this type of MPG is disappointing. I head to work around 5:15 and many if those rides were in the mid to high 30's so I attribute some of it to that. Possibly got the tail end of winter gas blend.

Dash is reading 103.6mpg for this tank so hoping to at least break into triple digits calculated.

Update on the PCX. Filled up around 122 miles on the trip. Calculated MPG was 101.3. Dash is currently showing the highest value it ever has at 108 mpg.

The scooter has around 900 miles on it and these little motors do tend to open up noticeably during break in. Hopefully that's what I'm seeing now.

HAH, 599 miles on 9.9 gallons, so 60.5 mpg.
Almost no interstate on this tank (maybe 15 miles) and favorable weather with minimal need for AC and no actual cold.
Only the third tank I've seen where the car made 60 mpg.

HAH, 353 miles on 6.1 gallons, so 57.9mpg.
This was better than I would have expected, since this tank involved more than 200 miles of highway, with the cruise set in the young seventies and occasional excursions into the young eighties while passing slower traffic and not trying to hold up those trying to cruise at those speeds along with liberal use of the AC.
I'm starting to wonder whether something might be wrong with this car, with fuel economy being freakishly good.
LOL!

Pretty not bad for a 270 horsepower turbo 4 lugging around a porker of a chassis:

377.1/13.852 gallons of E0 91 octane works out to 27.22 MPG. Even more impressive: the onboard computer reported 27.3

Filled up with E10 93 octane from BP this go around, I'm curious to see if there's any appreciable difference. Price was the same today for 91 octane E0 from Kwik Trip or 93 octane E10 from BP: $4.079/gal

1st fill up at HyVee gas in Kirksville, MO on the 3 day get away. 542.4 miles / 13.219 gallons = 41.03 mpg. Mostly 60 mph state highways. A/C was running all the time. Lower speed roads makes all the difference for your hwy MPG. Had a light headwind most of the day.

2019 Ram Laramie 1500 Quad Cab 4x4, 92K miles, Bridgestone Dueler H/T P275 65 18; 80hwy/20 city driving, 20.7 avg MPG, 24.3 best tank, 87 octane only. Mobil 1 EPHM 5W20 plus LiquiMoly MOS2. ( I get noticeably better mileage on 87 octane than 93 - just an anecdotal observation)

My second fill of my trip - 87 octane TT Sinclair - This was a extreme highway hypermiling tank, Drove mostly state lettered routes at 60 mph or less most of the 2 days this tank was split between. Had a light tailwind both days. Kirksville MO to Springfield MO. Springfield MO to Sedalia MO both had tailwinds. On US 65 from Springfield to Sedalia the limit is 65 mph, traffic was light so I set the cruise at 60 and ECO mode along with the tailwind of 15 mph.

Fuel-up Added

Best Tank!

Congratulations, this tank is your best so far at 50.4 MPG!

Details

  • MPG: 50.4
  • G/100mi: 1.98
  • Miles: 584.3
  • Gallons: 11.60
  • Price: $3.02/Gallon
  • Total: $35.00
Sorry that I don't have the receipt, the Lady Friend paid for this tank. Forgot to photo the screen. Yes I was hypermiling. Eco mode, pulse and glide, coast to red lights ect. without disturbing others. I'm disturbing enough .

Next tank to KC from Sedalia is a different story, 150 miles of dead head on west wind at 25 to 30 mph. On the interstate at 70mph into the headwind will yield this.

The vacation fill ups of the C43:
28.0 mpg on Shell 93 (V-Power NiTRO+)
27.0 mpg on Exxon 93 (Synergy Supreme+)
28.1 mpg on Shell 93 (V-Power NiTRO+)
Details from the entire trip home:

Details from the final leg of the trip:

The increase in fuel economy was due to the fact that no traffic jams were encountered on the way home. Interstate speeds (outside of construcion zones) ranged from 75-85 mph.

Best fill up yet on my PCX. Cost me $4.

1.183 gallons for 123.1 miles of riding. Comes out to just over 104mpg.

I'd be happy to see this kind of mileage going forward.
