Post your current MPG

I just updated the fuel mileage logs for both vehicles on the ol' computer tonight.

2008 CR-V
Last tank: 305 miles and 12.4 gallons, or 24.6 mpg
Lifetime average: 24.0 mpg

2005 MDX
Last tank: 351 miles and 16.9 gallons, or 20.8 mpg
Lifetime average: 17.8 mpg

Extremely happy with fuel economy of both vehicles.

I'm continuing to drive my 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 with a bit of restraint- which isn't easy; no more than 10 mph over the posted limit(although I usually corner at double the posted ramp/corner "advisory" speed), only an occasional Stoplight Grand Prix, etc. From 9/1/11-12/31/11 the car averaged 28.2 mpg. Lowest tank was 25.4 mpg. highest was 30.1 mpg. Not bad for a 287 bhp grocery getter.

Though it may be a little "skewed" I just now finally went into my glove box and grabbed all my fuel receipts...found a lot of them weren't legible ([censored] heat sensitive paper, and hot Florida weather haha)....so it could be a little "skewed"....in particular I found my local Mobil station, that typically gets me the most miles to the tank, has/had the WORST receipt paper :P Had trouble reading quite a few of them.....

Note: typically high way miles....most always above 45 mph....3-5k OCIs, conventional motor oil with ST Synthetic Top off when necessary (kinda like cinnamon sugar sprinkled on the top of cheerios haha, pretty sweet). and it probably could use a tune-up....heh

'11 base model FIT w/ 5 speed auto : 36.44 m.p.g.

Display : 35.2
Calculated : 36.44 ( 314 mis. / 8.615 gals. )

Needle 1/4 between empty and 1/4 . This tank was Sunoco 87 w/E10 . Refill of Valero 87 w/E10 . Temperature average of 23 . Four new Blizzak WS 60s' set at 35.5 . The more the gas tank nears empty the more accurate it is .

On my '99 Civic EX.

Last fill: 30.5mpg

The last three have been:

28.6
28.5
27

The winter gas has dropped my fuel economy about 10% over the past two months or so.

'06 Scion tC 2.4L 5spd

Last few fills have averaged 27mpg. (Scan Gauge II confirmed it)

Driven like a rental but i hipermill as much as possible when i get off the gas to slow down.

If my uncalibrated Ultragauge is to be believed, my 98 Civic with 374000 kilometers got about 38-39 mpg on my last long drive, which was on rural-type roads with some moderate hills on the first half of the drive, then all highway on the second half of the drive. I've never gotten less than 35 mpg average out of my Civic, if my Ultragauge is to be believed.

'00 Saturn SL2, Auto, 37k miles.

Dino oil & 35-45F temps in 70% suburbs, 30% highway = 33.6 MPG.

I put in PU & will put in Amsoil ATF in the tranny, so it should be even better.

'08 base sedan w/ 4 speed auto : 35.75 m.p.g. w/ 87e10

Eco-Meter : 37 ( set @ 96 )
Calculated : 35.75 ( 272.2 mis. / 7.612 gals. )

It's been frigid . Low 20s > -11 .

'11 base FIT w/ 5 speed auto : 34.56 m.p.g. w/ Hess 87e10

Display : 35.5
Calculated : 34.56 ( 295.5 mis. / 8.549 gals. )

Same temps apply , but did see more drivng in snow and high winds . Refill of Sunoco 87e10 @ 1 click . The tires had dropped from 35.5 to 32 at 14 degrees or so during the early afternoon before leaving the house .

I just managed 46 mpg with the 2.0 Opel Insignia CDTI Diesel. 6spd, my record thus far.

Using GM 5W30 dexos2
that has been in it for already 39000km's

90% highway, no trafic with ~40% cruise control.
i don't beleive i'll be able to hit 50mpg like my goal was

2005 Dodge Neon base engine auto trans. I have been tracking this car for 35k and it is very consistent.
Winter no A/C average 32 MPG give or take a 1/2 MPG
Summer A/C on Average 30 MPG give or take a 1/2 MPG
I use only brand name gas and here in Colorado that means Shell-Conoco -Valaro -Sinclair.

'11 base FIT w/ 5 speed auto : 33.02 w/ Mobil 87e10

Display : 33.4
Calculated : 33.02 ( 214.7 mis. / 6.502 gals. )

Refill of Hess 87 w/e10 @ 1 click . Average temp of 20 and some snow / ice covered roads . New blizzak WS 60s @ 35.5 , imagine they're at 32 or so with the frigid weather . They seem to have low rolling resistance . Just as good as the DUNLOP SP 31s that came on it . The display was 40.4 for 23 miles when we got home . Doubt that'll last .

40.2 MPG: 390 miles traveled / 9.7 gallons on refil

^Same station/pump as my last tank which yielded 10.1 gallons to full, I drove that until I needed to refill and it clicked once(always just go to the first click) at 9.7 gallons. This was on mid-grade Shell. I have been using regular unleaded 87 at a local Costco that doesn't have their 'detergent' additive system, so I swapped to 89 at a Shell nearby and I'm going to run another tank or so to see if fuel economy stays higher while driving the same as before. On 87 lately I had only been getting around 36-37 MPG.
