My normal (75% city) mileage week in and week out is 21-22. This weekend, however, I drove up the Interstate to the town of Gonzales, a little over an hour each way. More than once, on a flat stretch of highway, doing about 68, with windows up and no A/C, and with one lightweight passenger, the instant MPG on the Driver's Information Center read 37 MPG.
Now I know that's not scientific; I know it always reports about 10% too high; and I might have had a good tailwind. But there's something gratifying about it anyway . . . and the corrected MPG would be about 33. Amazing for such a big car as the Buick. No wonder I can't find any comfortable-riding cars to top it!
