Post your current MPG

Recent warm weather has led me back to 19-20MPG in my 2007 Acura MDX. 60city/40 highway.

I'm averaging around 23mpg and creeping up to 24mpg as of now in the Camry. My normal daily commute consist of a 28 mile round trip to and from work and maybe 9 or 10 miles of interstate traffic both ways during rush hour in the morning but it on adds 5-10minutes to my commute.

I find that 65mph hour seems to be the sweet spot between my sanity and fuel efficiency for my commute, at least according to my ultra-gauge. Even when I drive 70mph+ with a few 100mph burst during my weekly commute I still average 22.5mpg. In my Buick 19.5-21mpg city but up to 33mpg on trips.

Lately I've seen a few Smart car drivers and Prius drivers around here that were driving like maniacs, and I'm wondering why get cars like this if you're going to drive them hard? I bet you end up getting worse MPG driving a car like that at 100% throttle compared to a more powerful car that you only need to drive at 50% throttle.

While you have a point, the Prius should not need even 50% throttle to run at 80mph. Yes, it will get worse mpg at 80. At the same time, it probably gets better mpg at 80mph than say a Camry would at 80mph--and when not being driven at full tilt, getting even better.

I kinda fall into this catagory. My VW could do 50mpg. If I wanted to. Instead I can drive with the flow of traffic (or faster) and still get probably double the mpg than most other vehicles at these speeds. Well, maybe not double, but better. I just value my time a bit more than the fuel savings, that's all.

25 MPG on a Dodge Aries 2.2L Automatic....EPA seems to think I should be getting 26 MPG Combined/22 City/28 Hwy...so I guess that's OK, for a 20+ year old car with only 69k on the clock....just did the plugs and wires (went with AP65 Platinums since they were out of the RC12YC...) which I read is supposed to get better MPG cause it burns better....lol we'll see after a couple tanks

The Taco still gets 18.5 mpg even with a mild lift and next size up tires. The CRV gets 30-31 mpg according to the computer.

43.5 on my Cruze Eco this week. 50/50 city/highway with cool and rainy weather. Fun little car with great fuel efficiency for those who like to shift for themselves.

34 mpg last tank on the Cavalier. Since we moved, I have to do a lot more driving, but it's all either freeway or 50-55mph backroads (plus the occasional 10mph over dirt...), so it's improving. Of course, I'm still spending more on gas since I'm having to drive so much more.

I just got 22 mpg in my 2012 Silverado 1500 empty, 20 mpg hauling a refrigerator. I'm impressed. Six cylinder auto. All highway.

This tank was rather impressive so I had to share...11.4 MPG.

That is miles per gallon of E85, and more spirited driving than usual.

I filled it up with regular 87 tonight.

2006 S2000: 11 mpg on the track, 22 mpg normally, 29 mpg on the highway

2012 TSX: 26 mpg around town, have gotten 34 mpg up to 37 mpg on the highway (very impressed with this considering the car has great pick up)

2011 MDX: 16 mpg around town, 18 mpg up to 20 mpg on the highway

The average for my 2700 mile road trip came in around 24MPG. Not too bad. Overall average for the Sorento so far is now at 20MPG even.

That'll get dragged back down as I move back to my normal heavily city driving.
