Post your current MPG

toyota yaris - costco E10 08/16/11-09/02/11

256.0miles/6.436gals=39.77

Not a bad return but when I get my EcoMeter in the mail Im hoping that will help my numbers out. But compared to the del sol its [censored] lol. 39 vs 49... hmm which would you drive to work?

21.6 on the last tank in the G.

7.1 MPG on a rental Dodge Grand Caravan earlier this week, but I spent probably 10 hours over two days idling it with both A/C's on in 112 degree phoenix heat... in the sun.

Sold my 08 Ram 1500 w/ HEMI that I reported on earlier in this thread. Figured I would add the new Jeep now...

2011 Jeep Patriot
Latitiude
2.4L 4WD

MFG FE Sticker = 21/26

I have only had it a week or so but have been driving a LOT so I have filled 3 times.

1 - 22.5 MPG( 90%+ city )
2 - 23.9 MPG( 70/30 mix )
3 - 29.02 MPG( 95% Highway )

Very happy with the MPG so far.

Revised EPA fig on my 2007 MDX is 15/20 mpg.

So far driving 85% highway/15% city I have gotten 21MPG with it over 800 miles (two trips). It barely turns 2000 RPM at 70MPH but kicks itself down quickly as needed.

I am sure when the preschool drops start again I will hover in high teens with it. Fortunately I only drive about 200 miles/month tops.

Last two tanks on our CR-V were 24.3 and 24.8 mpg. This is 100% on my commute, which averages 25 mph when you divide the distance by the time traveled. EPA sticker is 20/26 for this car.

Now that school has started again, our MDX (wife driven) is down to mid-to-high teens again. EPA sticker on that one is 15/21.

Just got my best tankful yet in the Civic, 40.2 MPG. It's getting a lot colder in the mornings now, so I don't expect to beat this number until next spring.

15.7MPG
210 miles from 12.133 gallons = 17.3MPG
198 miles from 10.87 gallons = 18.22MPG
191 miles from 10.7 gallons = 17.85MPG
19MPG?
190 miles from 10.2 gallons = 18.60MPG
238 miles from 13.0 gallons = 18.26MPG

15.7MPG
210 miles from 12.133 gallons = 17.3MPG Corrected: 17.64MPG
198 miles from 10.87 gallons = 18.22MPG Corrected: 18.58MPG
191 miles from 10.7 gallons = 17.85MPG Corrected: 18.22MPG
19MPG?
190 miles from 10.2 gallons = 18.60MPG Corrected: 19.02MPG
238 miles from 13.0 gallons = 18.26MPG Corrected: 18.69MPG
369 miles from 15.3 gallons = 24.11MPG Corrected: 24.57MPG
Crown Vic meet in Monroe, WA then cruised to Leavenworth, WA for Lunch. I dont think I did too shabby considering I pulled Stevens Pass going and again coming back.
I also realized these numbers if anything are going to be lower than the true MPG. My larger tire and wheels throws off the speedo to the tune of 2%. GPS checked. Im retroactively adding a corrected MPG to my list. Believe whichever you wish.

All of the vehicles are still getting good mileage since my last reply on 8/15.

Wifes Lexus is near 20MPG
My Altima 2.5 is over 26MPG
Daughters Mazda3 is ~34-36MPG
All doing mixed driving.

RX300 with about 167k miles: Lately it's been all city with an average of 19.8 mpg (driving hard). Last tank was all highway though, at an average of 23 mpg while going about 78-82 mph, and agressive driving.
RX450h with about 27k miles: All city, rocking about 32mpg (aggressive driving)
97' Accord with 215k miles: All highway, 35 mpg (Dad drives it, and tries to get the best mpg possible...LOL)

hypervish,
My wifes '01 RX-300 AWD is only getting 19-20 city(best with 93 octane), while driving very easily(summer only). And lower octane produces less MPG.

Your MPG is GREAT! The best we've ever gotten on the Hiwy is 24 MPG again, driving very easy just to get that and no extra people or luggage aboard.

If we drive agressively or just feather the throttle too much, the MPG easily drops into the low-mid teens. And I just mean, "agressively"(as if we're in a bit of a hurry) and not even WOT'ing.

This RX needs to be driven as though your tip-toeing over egg shells otherwise, the MPG drops like a rock. It's always been this way.

I drive my RX hard! (ie. redline all day all night) ok so maybe not all night, but I redline every chance I get... traffic lights, merging onto highways... I also usually always use the pwr ect on the freeway where the speeds are between 40-65 because it'll downshift faster (less work for the engine, so it doesn't lug). I also always use pwr ect in the city. The only time I don't use pwr ect is on the highway, because it has more than enough passing power.
I do seem to get great mpg, and I don't have any mods... yet!

How are the spark plugs? Have you changed out the rear diff, and transfer case oil? That can make an improvement on mpg.

I use 93 octane myself, I found it to feel the most powerful when using it (butt dyno never lies). My dad who drives gently, has managed 25.6mpg on the highway for an entire tank full. The most on the highway I can get with my driving habits is low 24. Usually it's high 23 though.

In a congested city like Chicago, New York or Philadelphia all of which I travel to quite often. I get about 18-19 mpg in traffic with A/C on. I don't recall what I get with A/C off. < I could do better in the city with traffic, If I didn't drive so aggressively, but what's the fun in that? LOL

Seeing as your in New York your mpg seem's fine. Many SUV's I know get 13 in a city like NY. I consider the RX to do pretty good in terms of fuel economy, considering it puts out apprx. 220 hp and torque, along with it being AWD and quite hefty.

My city driving isn't all that congested, just many traffic lights. So, my mpg is pretty high.
