Post a photo of your oil on dipstick (with miles)

VRP 1,200 miles. What stood out to me is how bright the dipstick looks now. It never had varnish but it always had a pewter color even when dry. Now it’s super bright metal. Looks like the piston photos they showed. My guess is it’s the lighting.

Returns dipstick to factory finish!!😀

Seriously that’s impressive considering your previous oil.

Has the Dakota had any other oil other than Rotella? Looks like a lot of carbon buildup.

After I inherited truck did one oci of T5 10w-30 then HPL 10w-30 but it was consuming that. Think this engine is just a dirty running engine. PCV valve is new also as of 2k miles ago. Next oil will be DELVAC extreme 10w-30 synthetic or Valvoline R&P 5w30

170k miles on my Camry with 10k miles on this oil. No oil top offs. Consumed a little oil. Might need to start checking oil levels between oil changes soon.

PS. Kirkland or Supertech full synthetic 0w20
