Possible Purchase: 2000 GMC Sonoma 2.2l

It's not bad off the line or in city traffic, it's the highway where it runs out of steam. It's not a fan of hills.
They get up to 60 perfectly fine.

I live in Appalachia and 2.2 S10's are all over the place and they have no problem keeping up with highway traffic even up hills. If you are going A to B maybe picking up some sand or a bit of plywood from the hardware store they do just fine.

If you are doing any kind of towing you want the 4.3.

The four should be quite reliable even if gutless.
I doubt that you're looking to buy this thing with stoplight GPs in mind anyway.
This sounds like a pretty unique trucklet with the low miles.
For the right money (cheap) why not?
Yeah, the white stripe tires do look pretty dated these days.

Engine is bulletproof; it will not have problems.
Rust is usually their worst enemy, this one looks as clean as a whistle.
Buy it, and take it to car shows - you’ll be the only one there, and people will be curious!
I’d definetly buy it, won’t find another that clean.

Looks immaculate, was it stored in a time capsule?
No but they do keep everything inside. This truck had a gas jump start unit in the bed and was used roughly once a month to start equipment on the day of the auctions. It would come over to the auction lot for 2-3 days and then went back to wherever they kept it. I’m sure it was used on their storage lot to jumpstart equipment too.

I decided to pass on this truck as there's more dings and rust than I was expecting. They haven't taken care of it as good the last few years. Here's the link to the sale if anyone is interested. It's located in Milan, Il and the sale is online only. The pictures are accurate.

That's a bummer. As soon as you mentioned it was used as a yard truck I knew it was too good to be true.

It's pretty sad. This thing used to be perfect. The owner of the company passed a couple years ago and looks like things are starting to go downhill.
