Porsche Cayenne - Rear BCM

The car is doing some weird stuff-

Some warning lights have been coming on and flashers keep coming on , and can’t be turned off. car won’t unlock sometimes , etc

-guessing related to the immobilizer code

Not sure if I need to recode the entire bcm or if there are fixes for the trouble codes. Anyone e have any suggestions ?

Have you checked the wiring between the BCM and the Tail Light connector to see if there's excessive resistance?
There might be a problem further down the line that you haven't found yet.

I am dealing with some electronic issues on an old SUV as well.
Mine is a fuse panel which has corrosion from a leaking windshield.
Like mine, I would imagine if the module has corrosion, the pins on the connector would as well. Might be worth looking at the connector if you haven't already.
I am no expert by any means, just throwing in a quick observation, since I am going through some water related corrosion issues too.
Here is a video I just watched a couple hours ago. Bought some DeOxit to deal with that corrosion on the terminal connections.
ECM Corrosion And Corrosion on Terminals

Living in Florida and having seen the ocean flooding that comes with hurricanes and tropical storms, made me hesitant to buy anything used from certain areas of Florida for this reason. These corrosion problems probably wouldn't show up for a while after everything dried out.

i put the old BCM back in and all the "weird" issues have stopped. Just back to the original issue of the drivers side tail lights not working.

So it appears to me, there is a problem with the coding of the new BCM- I have tried to re-code it several times now. Have a call in to autel to see if they know how to resolve.

The coding process I used was for the autel to read current module and save that coding- then swap the modules- it then writes the copied coding To the new module -

I also tried to use the online coding offered through Autel , which I guess just codes based on the vin but couldn’t ever get it to work

The part # on the module is the same but some of the other numbers in the module are
Different - will look again when I get home

so just got off phone with Autel and they are telling me that I can't code the BCM with their tool.

They said I would need OE porsche software on a laptop and a Jbox J2543
