Hang around on BITOG long enough and you’ll find that correctly inferring a state of mind from comments about a particular brand or car will become second nature.
There are some vehicles that I would rather jump off a 30 story building than own or drive, but I have absolutely no desire to pop into threads discussing those cars to express my opinion.
I often joke about the people who post “Pay cash for a used Corolla and drive it for 400,000 miles.” But it’s an inevitable occurrence in any thread discussing a purchase of an entertaining car that costs more than $10,000.

I work on much more complex and expensive machinery than Porsches for a living. And I have owned and DIY maintained more complet vehicles.

You have a lot of issues. Go talk to a professional. I was joking around having been around the car hobby for a long time.You may be surprised if you judge someone's net worth or what cars they can or can't "afford" based on what cars they recommend or drive themselves.

Maybe I missed it but I don't think that even happened here? Some dude suggested a Mustang GT. Another dude said he bought a BRZ instead. Reliability discussions. Hardly corolla / camry / accord suggestions.
I guess you need to be a member here a lot longer for the PTSD to set in.
Sometimes in lieu of suggesting a soul slaughtering appliance the “helpful” responses are based on fifth-hand hearsay. I refer to those contributors as
BITOG Marque Experts because they have never owned, driven or sat in the vehicle under discussion.
PTSD? I prefer to think of it as not suffering fools gladly; I had to do that too much in my real jobs.

No doubt, but if I ever scratch the itch it would have to be a stick and there breathes not a single car guy who doesn't have the 911 on his personal list of cars he'd like to own, although I guess I am old enough to fit right in as a Corvette owner.
Really? I’m 68 and the Chevrolet dealers all tell me that I have to wait until I’m 70 just to sit in a Corvette.
