Got some rust on the truck I need to fix. Anyway I'm thinking of sanding it down to bare metal...putting POR15 on it and filling in the rough spots with Bondo.
Question is: Will the Bondo adhere to the POR15?

The Z28 Camaro forum has some info on this. The best thing to do is call por15 at 1-877-693-7878. This way they can recommend the right application for your vehicle.

Yes it will, but a better solution is to use epoxy primer which has excellent adhesion to bare metal and will provide a greatbase for body filler,it will also provide great protection against rust, when the epoxy primer is dry scuff with 80 grit and apply filler it willbe water proof from the backside when applied straight to epoxy primer.Any parts store that sells paint will have it.

I believe that POR wants to adhere to a mildly rusty surface so read the instructions well.

Doesnt Bondo hold moisture? That may be a consideration.

Going to bare metal Id prime and properly paint. Make sure that any backside that may have been effected is treated/sealed.

If you slightly rough up the POR-15 after it's cured, it should hold. Be warned, it takes a fresh grinding wheel on an angle grinder to make a dent in the stuff, and once you're starting to make a dent, it'll grind off very rapidly.

If you do decide to mess around with POR-15, do your lungs a favor and buy a respirator that's organic vapor and particle (OV/P100) rated. I got one at Lowe's for about $30, used POR-15 outside while wearing a respirator, and had no issues.

Read the POR-15 instructions!!! It says apply POR-15 to the treated metal,bog...then apply POR-15 again to sandwich in.

I'd forgo the POR15 and kill the rust with naval jelly or other phosphoric acid made for this. Wash with water and dry.

Maybe drill a few holes for the bondo, then prime and paint.
