I just had a positive experience with Home Depot and Pfister and thought I'd share it, as it may save someone some money.
Our bathroom sink faucet sprung a leak on the spout, it's 11 years old. I went to Home Depot where I bought it on the outside chance I could identify the faucet to order a replacement spout. No luck. The salesman said they had a warranty and suggested I go to the Pfister web site and send them a digital picture (kudos to the salesman). I did, and I asked about if there was a warranty and if they could identify the faucet for a replacement spout. I left it sort of open-ended as I have zero paperwork on the faucet.
They got back to me stating that the faucet was out of production and I should browse their web site for a replacement. I found a roughly equivalent faucet and replied with the model number. The replied back that the faucet would be shipped out under warranty and we should receive it in 7-10 days. Not bad, I'm a happy customer.
As a side note, if you get a leak in the spout of a faucet, tape it and remove the flow restricting aerator. The aerator is what causes pressure to build in the spout making a little pinhole spray like the dickens.
