My almost 15 years old Price Pfister kitchen faucet started to leak under the sink last week.

Called customer service toll free number, they shipped a replacement cartridge and retainer ring free of charge but I need to pay $5 shipping. But it didn't fix the leak.

Called the same customer service number today to give them the details the leak and told them that the replacement cartridge did not do anything. Price Pfister will ship a brand new replacement faucet to my home, all she asked for is a picture of the current faucet email to her, because I don't have original receipt(who kept receipt(s) after 10-15 Years ?).

Before contacting Price Pfister customer services, I do some research about kitchen faucet and found that good one (single handle with pull-out spout) can be as high as $200-400 or higher. IIRC, I paid about $2xx for mine 15 years ago. Without receipt I didn't expect they would do anything for me. I'm surprise that they tried to help as much as they did.

PS The customer services center is in USA, most likely they are in Lake Forest, California which is about 8-10 miles from where I live. Not in India like many companies are having now.

Sounds like some really good customer service, and USA based too... rarely do you see that.

As for the receipt, those things fade away and becomes unreadable in a matter of 2 or so years in a filing cabinet, the paper and ink they use doesn't last.

I have the same response with American Standard. I have one of their faucet that the manifold was "stuck" with a piece of rock that hinder the flow, and I could not get the rock out (deep in the manifold). So they send me a whole new faucet after I took a picture for them.

Received the replacement faucet yesterday, it is different model than the one I bought because it was discontinued. The only similar is it's a pull-out single handle stainless steel.

Could not remove the old faucet from the sink, had to hire a local handyman to replace the faucet, he charged only $75 and it took him 1.5 hours to finish the work.

Price Pfister actually waived the handling/shipping cost of $7.99. It's nice of them to replace the leaking faucet without original receipt, after sending the replacement cartridge that didn't fix the leak.
