Please suggest a VW transmission fluid

Another option is Liqui Moly Top-Tec MTF 5300 70W-75 and
apparently available in the US and in the UK:
Indeed, this was actually what I was going to order, but only seemed to be readily available at ECS Tuning, and was/is on backorder until September. I also needed their MTF 5300 (for G 052 145). I'll have to wait until next time.

I'm looking for something thicker than oem service lubes, since engine power is usually going up too. Thus, Synchromesh....

LM claim to be meet VW G 052 171 and G 052 527 requirements.
I'm not a LM fan, but on paper at least it looks stunning.
PI and MSDS suggest a majority of PAO similar to Castrol Transmax
Manual V 75W-80, but apparently thinner (it's a 70W-75 of course),
even a tad thinner than VW's own G 052 527 (5.9 instead of 6.1 cSt).

Well I guess it is in stock now at ECS tuning.
Why would this be any better than the Redline MT-LV, which also lists the two VW part numbers in their compatibility list? I figure the things that make the most differnce are the secret blend of friction modifiers, not base oil or viscosities? Well anyway I have been on the MT-LV for about 2-3000 miles now. It is less "crunchy" than the OEM fluid, but 1->2 shifts are definitely slower.

Changed a couple MK7 manual trans fluids in "customer" (aka friend's) cars and used the Febi 21829 fluid for 525 27 replacement. One was modified (tune, clutch) other was bone stock. Both stated excellent shift action and feel, hot or cold. Saved a couple bucks too over Genuine VAG fluid.
