Mk6 Golf R trans fluid HELP PLEASE

Need to do a 60k trans fluid change on my golf R. 2012, Mk6 6-speed manual. Stage 2 tune with some modifications. Owners manual is a pile of garbage as far as tech specs goes. I need something with the ability to handle the high pressure load I’m putting on the tranny with high rpm’s and aftermarket upgrades. Basically, between all the info I’ve read, it all just contradicts other sources. Gl-4, gl-4+, or gl-5? That’s all I need to know. One parts supplier says one thing and the next says something different. I am picky as far as manufacturers go, would prefer to use liqui-moly or amsoil, have always had great results with any of their products on my VWs. Please, any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to BITOG 🎉

Email Liqui-Moly and ask them what they recommend. Or FCP or some other site that specializes in VW and Euro cars

If you like Amsoil, @Pablo is an Amsoil dealer

Apparently your MT requires a Low Viscosity fluid which has a kinematic viscosity of about 6.3cSt at 100C.

But owing to your upgrades a fluid of around 7.0 cSt at 100C such as HPL's 75W75 or 75W80 at 9.4 cSt Manual Transmission Life would seem to be more appropriate.
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much.

Just curious, where you are seeing this? 2012. Tuned and mods.

Amsoil calls this out for the MT, the 75W90 GL4
