OEM has better Beta Ratio in this case. One is white, one is black ... could be the reason the smaller one is more efficient (ie, different media ??).

OEM:
Beta 2-1=1/2=0.5 or 50% efficiency at 8 microns.
Beta 75-1=74/75=0.987 or 98.7% efficiency at 22 microns.
Larger:
Beta 2-1=1/2=0.5 or 50% efficiency at 12 microns.
Beta 20-1=19/20=0.95 or 95% efficiency at 25 microns.

Beta
Ratio -- % Efficient
2 -- 50.00
5 -- 80.00
10 -- 90.00
15 -- 93.33
20 -- 95.00
25 -- 96.00
30 -- 96.67
40 -- 97.50
50 -- 98.00
75 -- 98.67
100 -- 99.00
125 -- 99.20
250 -- 99.60
500 -- 99.80
750 -- 99.87
1000 -- 99.90
2000 -- 99.95
5000 -- 99.98
10000 -- 99.99

So in WIX's Beta Rato format:

Beta Ratio: 2/75=8/22

Means Beta Ratio 2 (50% efficient) @ 8 microns, and Beta Ratio 75 (98.67% efficient) @ 22 microns. Red with red, blue with blue is how the numbers correlate with WIX's format.

Beta Ratio: 2/20=12/25

Means Beta Ratio 2 (50% efficient) @ 12 microns, and Beta Ratio 20 (95% efficient) @ 25 microns. Red with red, blue with blue is how the numbers correlate with WIX's format.

I wise some of these "What's Beta Ratio mean" threads could become a sticky thread.

wow, this kinda makes me regret stocking up on WIXs. 95%@ 31 microns compared to pureones 99.9% @ 20 microns. both for about the same price.... ouch
