It all depends on what kind of miles you're putting on it, for starters. 5,000 CAN be more like 10K with certain kinds of driving.
PP is IMO equal to M1 from what I gather here on the forum. Ultra is better for extended OCI or if you want to clean out an engine that maybe has been using cheap dyno or is prone to sludging up.
Me, personally, I'd probably run PU for peace of mind if I could get it. The difference in price is minimal, with a good filter, you could potentially go even longer should you want to, and I wouldn't feel like I cut corners on an expensive piece of equipment I rely on. Some have said they see Platinum on sale for $20 occasionally at WMart...for that price, it would tempt me to go with PP over Ultra. I do see Platinum on sale in one form or another quite frequently. I don't know why the prices of motor oil are so high. Essentially we get fewer choices than in US and our prices are about double. $50 a jug of synthetic oil is common. A 1L bottle of Edge or Mobil 1 Extended Performance runs almost $15.
