I saw this at Wallymart. Its something in a sliver plastic pouch/bag and says it takes only 5 minutes to clean each lens. You cannot really see what is in the pouch. About $19.99 in NY.
Has anyone tried it. I have tried Plastix from Meguiars and it helped but I need something more aggressive.

I am half tempted to try it and return it if it does not work.

I have used "Blue Magic Plastic Lens Restorer" (also from Walmart) and had good results w/ very little effort. I spent about 5 minutes per lens w/ buffing pad on electric drill. It looks like the recoating step may add significant shine.

regards

If that is "Crytal View" then it works well. Tricky to find, but the Bitog member who did his T-bird sure has some clear lenses!

I used "old dutch" powder cleaner, 50 cents at big lots. It is aggressive!

I tried Turtle Wax polishing compound, it did not do much on plastic headlight. I then tried 3M plastic headlight restore system with 3M plastic headlight polish, the result is the headlights is almost like new, no haze nor yellow.

I have tried the silver pouch from wallyworld. It works, but it is a one time use. The sealer that they have you put over the top will begin to yellow in a year or two and that cannot be polished. Works great if you are going to sell the car. If you are keeping it, use a micro buffing paste like maguires polish and wet sand to 800 or 1000 grit and then apply a coating of paste wax. Repeat paste wax every three to four months. Actually wet sand first, micro polish and then wax.
