This little guy was in the my Yamaha for 1.5 years, roughly 2K miles.
The only thing that was in there was a little brass. No defects whatsoever. Wish I never pulled it off, but I did not know how much crud the transmission throws, and the fact that 14610s are most likeley for tears.

This filter was replaced with a Honda A01, though the bypass setting is lower that spec for the bike( P1 was ). I'll run this for a couple of years and treat you all to a peep show.

Filter looks good .... thanks for posting.

Beautiful filter. Quality craftsmanship. No one wants to post to this thread because everything worked as advertised. Thanks for the cut and post. Eat your hearts out purohaters!

Looks like the Puro's of old, minus one or two additional pleats at the seam.

Thanks for the C&P!

So one filter that didn't tear proves that it is a "quality" filter? LOL!

For the record - I don't hate Purolator. I've used MANY of their filter for many years on multiple vehicles. But when I pay for a part to do a certain job, I expect it to do it and do it well. I am not going to give my business to a company that shows it really doesn't care about the quality of their products.

I really wonder if some of the Purolator koolaid drinkers (or employees as the case may be) would admit if they actually had a filter that had a tear in it.

Thank goodness they only ran the filter for 2,000 miles! I am glad they changed for before the 3,000 mark ... I guess mine just could not hold up to a 3,010 interval... the last 10 miles did it in.

Motorcycles oil pumps don't put out enough oil flow to tear even the weak Purolators.

Yup that is. And then there was this little fella.

^^^ Yeah, I remember that post. That Purolator Classic filter had an odd kind of tear in it, unlike the other tears that have been posted on here.
