Purolator P1 PL14610 from my sisters 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, 2.4 motor, 169,262 miles on the vehicle, 6,399 on the filter.
This is the "older" version of the filter.
This was another freebie from DuckRyder, thanks again.
It's a filter:
Made May 15, 2015:
Still holes in center tube:
All apart:
Media looks good:
Magnets caught some stuff:
Put in a Bosch D+ 3323 and some Valvoline 5w-30 HM:
Video of cutting it apart:
Previous filter (M1-110) looked excellent as well (pics not showing due to BITOG deleting test post where it was linked too, but youtube video is still there).
Overall in good shape. I had a slight bit of concern using this filter since this was made in the heyday of tearing, but all is well.
I really miss the grippy paint these are covered in, it is even better than the Fram Suregrip since it covers the whole can.
Normal interval for this is ~7500 miles, but changed it a little early due to in being a little over a qt low (don't want to add a whole qt for 1000 miles), they are taking a road trip soon in it, at truthfully, wanted to get the Purolator off of there.
