Piston Slap vs Valve Tick

I wonder if these two things are related, and how the Oil can help/eliminate/cause Valve Tick.

Ihave Valve Tick that goes away, but it MAYbe Exhaust Tick.. all i know is it stop safter a minute and i only head it at -cold.-

Piston slap when I`ve heard it sounds to me as if an engine is being started with no oil in it. A heavy metallic banging sound.

Valve tick sounds just like the name,a faint ticking. If you`re having some weird startup and/or running noise. Try a good conventional oil and see if that makes it go away (Pennzoil conventional or Valvoline conventional).

valve tick is a light ticking sound caused by excess valve clearance frequently from a stuck lifter and piston slap can sound more like a diesel and comes from lower in the engine block and is caused by cylinder/piston wear. piston slap generally gets quieter as the engine warms up. they're not related other than the fact they are engine noises.

Yha... i actually think the "Ticking" is from the exhaust, as i have hol ein ine somewhere. Il bet if i changed the headers and a bunch of gaslets, it would me "Misidentified ValveTick" from Cadillacmoviie..
