I have 6.o Chevy, luckily no piston slap. But I was talking to a mechanic at the dealership I bought the truck from, he said Militech-1 metal treatment stops the ticking. Has anyone heard of this? Is it an oil additive?

Militec-1 makes a fantastic lubricant for firearms, which I can personally vouch for. As for [what I'm assuming is] an oil additive that is supposed to stop lifter ticks, I have no idea. I didn't know that their company even made anything else. I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has tried one of their automotive products!
