For all you Pinks lovers, there's a marathon on Speed channel today. Also, the new Pinks heads up is on tonight!!! Heads up, run what ya brung drag racing for cash. You know what I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving!!!

This new show looks interesting! Although it could often end up that the guy who has the most money into his car wins, so he's the one who really doesn't need to win the cash.

What time is the new show on?

Nevermind, I checked the Speed Channel website and they show the new show being on at 8, 9 and 10 EST. I assume it's the same one hour show three times in a row, and not three completely different shows.

I hope it's 3 different episodes! It wouldn't surprise me; taping for the new Pinks All Out was like 3 days at Houston Raceway Park.

It would be nice if it were three different ones, but based on previous experience I bet it's not. I've noticed that most of the time they show the same half hour episodes back to back every week. Then they replay that same episode again many times that same night and into the wee hours too.

Unless they've decided to do a special thanksgiving deal or something!

We can only hope it's a special deal. From what I gathered on the Pinks website, it is. Supposedly it's a one shot special; ie Pinks as a whole isn't gonna change to this format from now on; the regular episodes are still gonna be title for title. Glad to see I'm not the only Pinks lover!

I recorded last night's shows on my PVR so I'll watch them tonight. I did check to see if it was the same one hour show repeated three times in a row though, and it was.

I've seen a few posts on Corvetteforum saying there is a C6 and a C5 on there, but I quickly stopped reading those threads so the outcome wouldn't be spoiled for me!

My next door neighbor did tell me that some girl with a 9 second truck won the overall championship of the event though.

Did you see it yet Patman? It was well, a work in progress I guess! I can see why for the next one, they are trying to get people within a certain elapsed time. I would've been #@$%! to be the dude that showed up with that 8 second car only to find out I'm 2 seconds faster than the 10 second flat majority! I like the original format much better.

A couple things about PINKS.

I liked Pinks okay until I read the HOT ROD article on it. Mr. Shaved Head dude knows absolutely nothing about cars and is just some guy with and idea for a tv show.

Also, I don't care for all the double dealing, sneaky back-handed stuff that goes on. I'd rather see races won on technology and driver skill, not who has the best poker face.

I think they definitely need to make a few changes for the next time, perhaps splitting it into two groups.

I didn't like the final though, they should've let that guy have a few more minutes to get his car started. After an entire day of racing they couldn't wait a few more minutes in order to get a proper final? Letting the girl get that one bye run was lame, not a very exciting finish at all.

I kept laughing whenever he would refer to it as the "sweet 16", anyone who is into drag racing know's it's called the "quick 16"! LOL!

Notice in the negotiations how he'll agree to something then look over to his tech guy to make sure it's okay.

I tried to watch it once. It was mostly about who could lie and sandbag the best. Haven't watched it again. I do enjoy drag racing when skill is the major factor.
