I like pickled red cabbage, my mother made it when I was a kid and I know of a ddeli that that makes it. When I'm in the area, I stop in for a sandwich and a bowl of red cabbage.
Love it, havent made it myself though. I'd imagine it isn't much more than some salt, sugar, bacon fat, apples, red cabbage and vinegar. But recipes would be great!!!

Lucky you get the home made sort or something good from the deli. Mine's usually factory made. It's good but much too sweet by itself. I mix it 1 to 2 or max 1 to 1 with sauerkraut and it's pretty nice.
