Well I know a couple of you said they were good. But when I mean the cheap Simmons, I mean the REALLY cheap ones, like $30...

I've got a $30 Simmons on my one of the rimfire Henrys. I like it!

Very clear optics, stays zeroed and smooth zoom.

I'm not sure how well it would handle your 30-30.

I also have a 4x fixed on a Marlin 60 for my Nephew. Its good to go.

Okay, well, after looking at all the $20-30 range scopes on Midway, SWFA, eBay, and Sportsman's guide, I realized they all pretty much seem to be the same scopes made in China then with a different label slapped on them. So, while I was out at Walmart last night I picked up their BSA 4x32 for $21 or $23 (I can't remember). Got it mounted up fine. Looks good on the rifle but we'll see how sighting in goes.
