I was in to my Petro Canada dealer again, and ordered up a case of this stuff.

Yes, I'm going to town on the Petro Canada lubricants. Will probably order another case of the 0w40 when I'm there.

We carry the petrocanada mv synthetic ATF and Amsoil. Many cab drivers with the prius and WS transmission reported shift issues after servicing with the petrocanada mv synthetic which Is supposed to cover WS. Other than that all of the other applications have been alright

Man, you aRE going to town on the PC stuff!

Good to see!

BTW, how is the Duron 0W-40 working in the engine? Anything noteworthy?

Feels the exact same as Mobil 1 0w40! Which is a good thing.

Only place i can think of getting the stuff is at their gas stations, and even then quantities are very limited...

Just go on their website, grab the e-mail address, and send them off an e-mail giving your location and asking for the nearest place to buy their products. They will let you know.

Sweet deal, thanks!

Dr_No, would "all other applications" also cover Honda 5sp AT among other things?. I am thinking about trying it in my Acura (which gets Amsoil and Z-1 )
Has anyone tried it in Honda trans?

Im sure their ATF will work well in your transmission. It is to my knowledge WS is a low viscosity fluid and this ATF is not. That is where the issues most likely came from. We now use Amsoil low vis for the WS apps. But we still use PC SYN and have no problems in any of the other transmissions. It should do just fine.

Oh looking forward to those!

Haha BTW i sent them an email! =)
Just waiting for a reply

Edit:
Just looked at their products, which ATF would you recomend for my application? Their D3H ATF or the synthetic MV atf??

My vehicle recommends dex-III so i think either would work, but which would you say would perform better?

If your vehicle recomends Dex III you could also look at Dex VI. I believe that Dex VI is backspeced to cover all previous Dexron applications. Don't know if the change is worth it or not but another option.

OK, did a 6L pan dump with it. Shifts are less pronounced, but quicker.... sort of weird! Though it may just be the adaptive shift strategy learning the new fluid.

I'd give this stuff a shot.

The issue with Dex VI is that it's thinner than Dex III and in some transmissions, it just simply won't work, seems to be very transmission to transmission, rather than a rule, but usually Dex VI will work just fine if not better than Dex III, but in my GF's Beetle, the transmission got real sloppy on a Dex VI equivalent.

Hmm, keep us updated on how the shifts feel!
Curious if they change in the next few days
