You put a 7/16" socket on your cordless drill and have 20 PSI in 10 seconds. Might not want to dry start a $50K race engine after it sat a few months.

The pump is a "Roots" type design. Plumbing the remote filter mount has to include an extra line tapped below oil level on the pan for wet sump, or to the tank on dry sump systems. They make them for large diesel type filters (1-1/2" stud) and for common Ford or Chevy filters (PH8A or PH13 or equivalent)

The mount without a bracket is about $380. They make brackets for tubing or firewall mounting.

Slick little idea. I hope they person responsible makes a buck.

We have used pre-oilers, accumulators, bypass filtration, etc. in the never ending search for the eternal engine...

And yet most people never even keep their car for over 15 years...

Absolutely true for most. I have relatives who have nifty car collections but simply cannot bring themselves to put miles on one.

In my biz we easily get 60k plus miles in a year if we are busy, and a truck is wore out at 300k miles. My personal cars are in the 'keep forever' club...

Yes I have one on my "play time" car because it can sit for a long time between starts.
Dry starts can be a problem with this engine on one particular cam bearing, so being able to pressurise the lube system just prior to start up is vitally important.

It works a treat for the intended purpose, with the added bonus that it is a remote oil filter mount which uses a longer filter than the stocker. Great for filtering large volumes of thick oil without much restriction.
Also a good excuse to run an inline oil cooler.

Thank god I'm not most people. My last truck before this one (1970 C-20) was a 1955 Ford I bought on auction and went to the kid. And a 1962 Ford that Pop bought brand new and passed along to me after a fender bender... 4 engines and 3/4 of a million miles on the 62 when I sold it

They don't even get a full on detail and wax (or repaint) until they are 30 years old
