The scroll buttons on the bottom right of the screen:

They disappear after a period of time, so then you have to scroll up or down to get them to come back. Is it possible for there to be an option in our user settings to make these buttons persistent? It would save a step when I go to use them, which would be convenient.

I have nothing to contribute other than I love seeing someone else with the same preferred date format.

I got hook on it doing factory audits for European/Global certification schemes and have been hooked ever since.

on a similar note my newer dell inspiron "likes" to open + close stuff at will. not very savy but slowed cursor as much as i can, it adds + deletes when just going bye!!!

I'm on a Chromebook and the arrows disappear after ~3 seconds after I stop scrolling up or down on a page.
Actually, I just noticed the disappearance after about three seconds on my iPad.

I guess because I scroll a lot with my finger, and not those buttons, I never noticed their absence because I am always scrolling.

No offense to anybody here, but I tend to read through posts pretty quickly.

I like that they dissappear after a few seconds. All you have to do is move the screen slightly to get them to reappear. On a computer or laptop with a keyboard, just hit the Home key to jump to the top of the page.

Had to look for them. Disappear after a few then reapear once you move your mouse etc. Didn't even notice these until now.

I'm viewing the site on a monitor that's 2560x1440, so I'm seeing several posts without having to scroll (5 posts in this thread currently). That takes more than 3 seconds, so then I have to move the scroll wheel on the mouse to get the buttons to show back up. It would be more convenient if the option existed to make them persistent in User Preferences because of this.

It's not a huge deal, but would be a nice option, hence the query.
