Came across something I never saw before.

A diet soda in a glass individual serving bottle.

Picture of Pepsi Zero in a glass bottle available as a normal individual serving in Perth, Australia.

No bottle opener required.

Hotel club lounge? I have come across Coke Light in a glass bottle, but it was the traditional Coke bottle with traditional bottle cap.

Yes, hotel lounge.

I have never seen any diet soda in a glass bottle before. Glass bottle sure beats plastic and aluminum bottles and cans.

Long live Mexican cane sugar coke in the glass bottle (I enjoy a bottle of Mexican Coke about once every two years).

I’m old enough to remember Tab and Diet Pepsi in the old school 12 & 8 oz. glass bottles, and in vending machines (‘70s). Seem to remember them a little cheaper, and a 2 cent or 5 cent deposit on the bottle too!

$2.40 for each bottle now.
I remember when I was a kid in the late 70's. One day I went to the soda machine in my home town, yes there was exactly one machine, and the price was $0.25. I went back about a month later and the price was $0.75. That was quite a lesson in economics.

Back in the day, we called it pop and it always tasted better in glass. There was a deposit on the bottle.

It was "pop" in SD where I was raised as well. Seemed odd when I came to MO it was "soda". I saw a chart recently and pop is dying out, soda is the majority of the country now. I suspect all the additional beverages now available might have something to do with it.

I bet diet dew would taste great in a bottle. I could do without my daily dose of aluminum and plastic. Heck I would even start returning bottles like in the past instead of throwing everything in the trash.

Summertime trips to the laundromat featured a machine which dispensed 16 oz. bottles of brand new "Mountain Dew" (yaa-hoo).
400g of sugar and 17,450,000 mg of caffein in an 8 year old kid; what's the problem?
The good ole days 👍

I can remember kids getting their arms stuck up in the machines too. Seems some didn't like the price increases.

Every time I see or hear "Pepsi", I'm reminded of the fact that they once owned the 6th largest Naval battle fleet in the world.
