5.7k mi in 8 months
This came off my 2014 Honda Pilot from approx 115k to 121k from used from December 2025 until August 2026.
Had kirkland 0w20 oil in it.
I was surprised how much sediment was caught by this filter compared to the ecogard x4610 that I just cut off today as well from my Odyssey.
Makes me wonder if the x4610 was in bypass due to the nitrile ADBV. And that's why it didn't catch as much sediment.
The OCI were within 600 mi and the engine is the same.
Only differences on this pilot. I have an intermittent check engine light for a cat.
And I did run a full can of berryman's B12 chem tool with only 3 or 4 gallons of gas until empty.
Maybe that loosened up some extra stuff from inside the combustion chamber...?
The media felt very similar if not identical to the ecogard X4610
The silicone ADBV was perfectly flexible.
I couldn't find a date code on the Pentius filter.
I bought these pentius filters last year on Amazon for a little over $4 each.
Replaced with another pentius plxl7317 and M1 hybrid 0w20
