It's been awhile since I've posted on here, just thought someone else might appreciate this. This engine holds 10.5 qts and I expected I could run this oil a long time and I was right. Also, this is my daily driver. I'll be sticking with this oil.

Adding a picture of the car 'cus that's what I'd want. :)

No desire to try pennzoil platinum euro 0w-40? it's only $1 more but even better in long drain intervals. Get two jugs on wm.com with free shipping.

I'm not as knowledgeable as most people on here, but my understanding is the wider the range, the more VI improvers and less lubricant - or something to that effect. For days I researched what oil to put into my new-to-me Vette two years ago and settled on this. Plus, Chevy calls for a 5w-30 and I don't remember anything compelling me enough to change that. Judging by this UOA I think it's doing well, no? But can you point out where I can see the the 0-40 is better in long drain intervals? I can assure you, I didn't pick this or any oil based on cost.

I used the ACDelco Specialty Ultraguard Oil Filter specd for the Z06/LS7. UPF48R. I'm considering the Purolator Boss PBL 14610 but I can't remember if it fits, or is appropriate for this engine. I have a few of those sitting around for my motorcycles.

For the mileage it was about 17 months. It's my daily driver but because of covid there was a lot less driving obviously. That might seem like a long time but I've never tracked the car and except for the rare moments when the throttle is wide open I'm just cruising around in 5th or 6th gear taking it quite easy. This engine is extremely tractable down low even though it screams to 7000 rpm.

That filter number would go for Honda/Acuras. You would need a 12222-series Purolator filter

I went back out to the garage after you wrote this and found a couple PBL 14610's as well as 2 PBL 12222 filters - I guess I didn't get those on Amazon since I had looked already. Looks I'm set for my oil change this weekend.

This looks like the GF5 not GF6. GF6 Pennzoil Ultra has over 220 Boron. Odd?
