Have to agree with you oilmaven on this. After spending 40,000 on my truck, the last thing I would do is try and cheap out on oil and filters. The cost compared to using the best with what is cheapest, is really not a whole lot over the life of the vehicle. But everyone has to do what they feel is best. That's what makes the world go around.

Didn't bother me though, oil stayed for full OCI. Other than that one instance, the variation in noise levels among oils is so minute that it's not worth noting.

More valvetrain noise with PU? My truck is quieter.

No, I said more valvetrain noise with Synpower in one app.

Dont forget the effects of quality EP ADDS and slickifiers that can reduce piston stick-slip at the bore ends. Any oil could outperform any other "similar" spec oil due to base stock cut choices and additisation design and levels.

Our Corolla went quieter on QSUD rather than the M1 that was in it previously. Haven't tried Synpower in it.

I live on the NY/MA border and its in the nearest one in MA, but not in the nearest one NY. And the nearest on in MA is a plain (not a super duper center).

All BIOTG members to converge on MA to get PU.

I used M1 before and my valvetrain noise was loud as [censored].______________________
