Just checked pricing on Walmart.com
QSUD is only .30 cents higher for a 5 quart jug over
A jug of Pennzoil Gold Synthetic Blend
...³ not hard to figure out which one to buy

I used this in 5W30 for one OCI because it was d1G2 and some of its properties that SOPUS shared online appealed to me...I think it had good CCS test results for its grade and I used it over a winter.
Basically seemed like every other oil I've used in the FXT...I will mention for the sake of completeness that I ran either Subaru Carbon Cleaner or Top Engine Cleaner through a vacuum line at the end of that OCI and that was the only time I got copious white/grey smoke during the cleaning process. I'm not saying that tells us anything about the oil and the car ran fine before, during, and after its use, but the difference in the exhaust while running the cleaner was quite noticeable that one time (and it wasn't the first time I cleaned that way).

This oil was only on the shelves at my local WMs for a brief time, haven't seen it in a couple of years. No reason for me to bother ordering it when I can buy M1, PP, or Valvoline AFS off the shelf and get a rebate as well.

Who told you it was 50% syn?
I have never found anyone at Pennzoil offices (during calls emails etc) to announce the exact percentage of synthetic in their jug blends.

You guys aren't alone. Virtus_Probi and I were discussing the attributes of this oil some time ago. That it's at least 50% Synthetic was just one of many.

I remember when it first came out many years ago it was called SUV, Truck and Minivan then Pennzoil streamlined their lineup and it transformed into "GOLD"
TOTO.

My mother's Impala ran great on this oil as never used any. Engine clean as a whistle. Can't find it locally so she now runs Pennzoil Platinum and loses oil between changes

I bought 2 changes worth while it was on clearance at Walmart awhile ago. It's now in my explorer and my grandmother's grand caravan. It was 0w20 Pennzoil gold and it did great this Michigan winter.

Well, one is in a box and the other is in a bottle, so I'd say that the boxes have the stacking advantage.
